At our recent 2022 AGM, the winner of the ASLA/Britannica Early Career Teacher Librarian Ward was announced.
The winner is Noni Harrison, Queensland.
ASLA/Britannica Early Career Teacher Librarian awardThis inaugural national award recognises and honours an Australian Teacher Librarian in their first five years of teaching, who has made an outstanding contribution to their school community and potentially beyond. This annual award acknowledges an early career Teacher Librarian for their high level of achievement in professional knowledge, practice and engagement with which they have made a positive impact on teaching and learning in their school. Today, its mission remains the same: to inspire curiosity and the joy of learning and to ensure that learners can engage more deeply with the changing world. Britannica Digital Learning is proud to celebrate and support a new generation of education leaders, working in partnership to ensure that every student is challenged, empowered and engaged. The Recipient of the Award will receive: $1,000 as a Professional Learning Grant generously donated by Britannica Digital Learning. Free access to the ASLA Webinars for the Year. The Award will be announced and presented at the ASLA AGM 2022 and Advocacy Summit. Nomination for the Award Principals, professional colleagues and members of the school community are encouraged to nominate their Teacher Librarian for this award. The Nominator does not need to be a member of ASLA, however, the nominee must be a member of ASLA. The nominator may be a colleague, principal or administrator at your school. The nominee must be a resident in Australia, have a recognised Teacher Librarian qualification and be in the first 5 years working as a qualified Teacher Librarian.
