Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Awards
The annual CBCA Book of the Year Awards affirm the quality of some of Australia's most creative people and provide a boost to their capacity to devote time to their craft. The CBCA Book of the Year Awards aim to: promote quality literature for young Australians; support and encourage a wide range of Australian writers and illustrators of children’s books and celebrate contributions to Australian children’s literature.

Bilby Awards
The BILBY Awards are the Children's Choice Awards organised by The Children's Book Council of Australia (Queensland Branch). Each year throughout Queensland hundreds of children select their favourite book and nominate it for the BILBY Awards. It is a wonderful opportunity for young people to exercise their voice, to have a say about what they read. This is their very own book award.

KOALA Awards
Every year, young readers from all over New South Wales judge their very own literary awards. By voting in the KOALA awards they can reward the Australian children's books that have most inspired, amused, terrified, enlightened and engaged them.

Yabba Awards
The YABBA Awards encourages children to recommend recent Australian published books, read all the recommendations for their peers, rate them against all others and then finally reward that book they feel is best.

The State Library of Victoria's Inside a Dog Inky Awards
There are two Inky awards: the Golden Inky for an Australian book and the Silver Inky for an international book. A panel of teenagers creates a short list from books nominated by teenaged readers. Then readers (under the age of 20) vote online for the winners.

American Children's Literature Awards
Compiled by the University of Michigan Library this extensive list which provides links to information about children's literature awards.

Database of Award Winning Children's Literature
The purpose of this database is to create a tailored reading list of quality children's literature or to find out if a book has won one of the indexed awards.
