ASLA is calling for nominations for positions on the Board for 2023- 2025. Serving on the ASLA Board could be one of the most rewarding experiences of your professional life. Being a board member provides the opportunity for you to join a strong professional team who are committed to and passionate about Teacher Librarianship and School Libraries throughout Australia. Being a Board member raises your profile, expands your knowledge and experience, broadens your professional network and enables you to contribute significantly to our profession. It’s also a lot of fun!
Nominations are being called for the following positions:
Treasurer Director (multiple positions available)
Criteria for Nominations
All positions are for a 2-year period of office.
The Nominee, Nominator and Seconder must be current members of ASLA.
The Nominee must:
Be a resident in Australia;
Be committed to promoting the goals and objectives of ASLA;
Represent the interests of all members of the Association as a whole;
Have a desire to learn and grow;
Be able to fulfill the role and responsibilities for the position under consideration as outlined on the ASLA website www.asla.org.au/role-statements;
Actively participate in Board Meetings; and
Be willing to supply a biographical note and position statement which may be used for information purposes to the membership during the election process.
The next Annual General Meeting of the Australian School Library Association will be held in person at the ASLA 2023 Biennial Conference and online on 22 April 2023
