○ How to run a quality mentoring conversation
- what does it
look like?
- what does it sound like?
- what does it feel like?

○ Time commitment

You will be asked to choose one (1) of the two sessions to attend on Monday 22nd July – **Session 1 9AM - 12PM AEST or Session 2 4:30PM - 7:30PM AEST**
This is a compulsory training session to participate in the program. Full attendance is required. No recordings will be offered.

On completion of the training session you will be sent the ASLA mentoring booklet which further outlines the program and has the agreement form for both Mentor and Mentee to sign. Pairing will commence after the training has been completed. You will receive notification to your nominated email address.

Important information regarding the program

  • No recordings are available for any of the online sessions
  • The initial training session on Mon 22 July is compulsory - non attendance means you are ineligible to continue with the program
  • Participants can choose to be a mentee and/or a mentor - though we may not be able to accommodate you for both, depending on numbers
  • As much as we would like you to have the option to chose your mentor, this may not be possible due to numbers - please place  your request in the comments field
  • Participants are expected to engage in the quarterly feedback sessions with the Mentor Program facilitators
  • It is not always possible to match participants based on school region/state/library size/LMS/school type - we suggest an open attitude to the match, there's lots to be learned from those in different situations
  • The ASLA Mentor Program is only available to current ASLA Members (including bundle members) and you will be expected to maintain an active membership status for the duration

** Please do not use a non-individual email (eg library@school.com.au) to register - it makes it difficult to track to individuals. Please update your profile before registering if needed and email if any issues.

Please email mentoring@asla.org.au if you have any queries.
