Attendees will develop an understanding of the range of social media platforms appropriate for use in the context of school library promotion in Australia. This session will showcase best practice examples of social media for promoting libraries to your school and the wider community. Attendees will begin to develop their vision for the narrative about their library that they would like to share with their school community, and strategies for how to build a strong social media network for your school. This session will also provide advice and examples on using social media effectively as a teacher librarian or library professional, to build attendees’ own professional connections and networks. This webinar meets the standards 3.7, 4.5 & 7.4, from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher status.
