We believe it is essential for schools and communities to be informed about and engaged in understanding our countries Indigenous languages.

But how do we tap into indigenous literacy respectfully and genuinely?

This month we will hear from the Indigenous Literacy Foundation who work hard to maintain Indigenous languages and awareness through their events, programs and resources. They will share their work to promote, enhance and inform communities of indigenous language through literacy and events.

We will also hear of other indigenous literacy resources including book reviews for across the school age ranges for you to use in your school libraries.

Participants will be;

  • informed of the state on indigenous languages in our country
  • invited to participate in promoting and engaging in indigenous language through literacy events
  • encouraged to use indigenous resources to support indigenous languages through the curriculum.
  • given ideas of how to create awareness of Indigenous literacy and language in their own community.

This Webinar is 1 hour NESA Accredited for NSW attendees.
