Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have (or previously had) an ASLA profile?

Please don't apply yet! Profiles are unique. First, log in and check or update your existing profile details, then apply above.

If you can't access your profile, please try resetting your password, or email a 'Request to join LibTAS Bundle', including your UserID (or what you believe to be the name, email, and school recorded on the profile) and your correct details. We will update your profile and action your request to join the bundle.

I have an active membership... Can I switch to the bundle?

Yes. You can choose to cancel your membership and take up the bundle option instead. While refunds are not available, joining the bundle may provide future budget savings for your school.

wHat do i need to do?

The bundle coordinator can email a 'Request to join LibTAS Bundle', confirming the school would like to cancel its current membership and join the Libraries Tasmania Bundle. Please include the UserIDs for the staff who should be added to the LibTAS Bundle in the request, ensuring all contact details are correct first.
NB If a staff member is not linked to your bundle and has never had an ASLA profile before, they can apply directly above.

Can i Continue my current membership?

Yes! You don't need to take any action if you wish to continue with your current membership. You will retain your voting rights at the AGM, and your renewal will proceed as usual. If you change your mind later (e.g., at renewal time), simply follow the above instructions for active members.

Do I have full ASLA membership rights in the bundle?

You have access to all member discounts, professional learning opportunities, and resources, however, LibTAS members do not have voting rights. If you would like voting rights, you are welcome to join ASLA directly here.

What if I move to a different sCHOOL?

Your eligibility to the LibTAS bundle membership may end. Please contact ASLA to discuss the options available to you.

Renewals & Membership Changes

Renewal is managed through the Partnership. No separate action is required by you unless you leave your role.
NB If you move interstate or into a role outside DECYP Libraries Tasmania, please update your profile details and contact ASLA to discuss other membership options.

    What if I'm not eligible?

The LibTAS bundle is not available to independent schools, tertiary institutions, or staff outside the DECYP Tasmania system.
