ASLA Interactive Workshops - Developing a vibrant whole school reading culture

ASLA excitedly launched a series of new Interactive Workshops designed specifically for school library staff ready to grow their leadership influence within their school communities!

Want to strengthen reading engagement across your school setting?

This session will:

- Explore how to build a vibrant, whole-school reading culture that genuinely connects with students and fosters a lifelong love of reading.

- Provide actionable strategies to spark reading interest, sustain engagement, and support diverse learners across all year levels.

- Discover how to embed reading into the everyday life of your school, creating a culture where reading is visible, valued, and championed by the whole community.

- Walk away with ideas you can implement immediately to enhance reading support, drive engagement, and lead meaningful change in your context.

Who should attend? This workshop is ideal for: 

• Library assistants and support staff aspiring to leadership 
• Early career teacher librarians 
• Experienced library staff wanting to strengthen strategic leadership capacity 
• Anyone looking to grow their influence and advocacy within their school
