Applicants residing in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia and Victoria can download the Membership Application form and submit, with payment, to:

If you are a resident in South Australia, membership is through the School Library Association of South Australia that is a Member Association of the Australian School Library Association Inc. If you are a member of a Member Association you are also a member of the Australian School Library Association Inc.

Membership types

Membership is for a calendar year from January to December.

    • Personal Professional
    • Personal Paraprofessional
    • School less than 500 enrolment
    • School more than 500 enrolment
    • Corporate

Personal membership receives the following benefits:

  • Discounted registration rate for professional learning.
  • Opportunity to apply for the ASLA awards program according to the identified nomination criteria.
  • One electronic copy of each edition of the national journal, ACCESS.
  • Membership rates for ASLA professional resource materials and publications.
