EduTech 2023 Future Forward School Libraries - Call for presentation proposals

ASLA is excited to be partnering again with EduTech to present the Future Forward School Libraries Seminar on 25 August 2023, at the EduTech Conference at the Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre.

We are calling for high-quality, innovative and practical professional presentations of interest to K-12 teachers, teacher librarians, school library staff and education professionals. All presentations must address the Seminar theme: Future Forward School Libraries. This might be anything that advances our practice and ideas into the future - facing challenges, advocacy, engaging our communities, and more!

RELEVANT INFORMATION:

Presentations must be no longer than 20 minutes (Individual or group) 

  • Format will be a live presentation at our EduTech on 25 August 2023

  • Presenters will be invited to support ASLA’s professional learning program through submission of an article for ACCESS or to present a webinar

  • Presenters of accepted proposals will, in lieu of speaker fees, receive an all-access conference pass as a big thank you for presenting, PLUS they also receive 5 complimentary all-access conference passes to share with their colleagues/network.

SELECTION CRITERIA: Proposals will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Clearly addresses the theme of the seminar

  • Objectives of the presentation 

  • Clear description of what the participants will learn

IMPORTANT DATES:

Closing date for submission of proposals: 26 May 2023

Notification of acceptance of proposals: 5 June 2023
